This Viking Rubber Evosafe Breathable Hi Vis Waterproof Jacket has been
Developed for people who are working outside in all weather conditions, the 3 core elements in it’s design are safety, comfort and quality.
This hi vis waterproof jacket is meant as a shell jacket, meaning the jacket is not lined. The advantage to this is that you can use the jacket for the majority of the year as it is light and flexible and achieves a breathability level of 4000g/m2.
In colder weather just add more layers under the jacket like a sweatshirt or fleece jacket or you can use the Viking Rubber Evosafe Zip In Reversible Hi Vis Jacket – 511012-520. This zip in hi vis jacket converts the 112032 jacket into a winter jacket, and in the summer you can take the lining out.
This hi vis waterproof jacket is very flexible which is helped by the 3M® Reflex hi vis tape which is glued on in small sections rather than stitched on like traditional hi vis tape.
Available in both hi vis yellow and hi vis orange colours and in sizes from S – 3XL

About Viking Rubber
“It will always rain, so proper rainwear is needed” – Aage Holger Rasmussen
Established in 1935 by Aage Holger Rasmussen and Hans Frederik Ejnar Rasmussen when the brothers saw their chance to create something new and change the world through the new rubberized textile that emerged in the 1930s. They realized that their reputation had to be good, and therefore the quality had to be the best, so Viking Rubber Company was born.
In 1965 Aage Holger decided to buy his brother out of the company and in 1975 Svend Aage Andersen, a sailor, real estate broker and stockbroker from Odense, drove to Faaborg to buy a windmill. On his way down to Faaborg his friend mentioned, that there was a rainwear factory in town, that they could look at. Svend Aage, who had been at sea since the age of 13, could not resist! He drove to the company and saw its potential;
“This company has potential to be something big” – Svend Aage Andersen
He meant these words, so Svend Aage bought the company and took over in 1976.
In 1984 Svend Aage handed over the keys to the company to his son, Kurt Mikael Andersen: “Here, now you can see, what you can do with it. Make me proud”
Although Kurt was only 23 years old, only 5 years after the acquisition Kurt expanded – both the business and the family, when his son, Alexander Mygind Andersen, was born.
The sails were set for growth so in 1991 Kurt began to outsource the production to Poland and by 1993 all productions for customers in Denmark, England and Germany were produced in Poland.
In the mid-1980s Kurt went on a business trip in Denmark promoting a new product. He managed to sell a few pieces, but after 14 days the orders only made up to 20 jackets – Kurt was not satisfied, so he took his suitcase and went to Germany.

The first retailer Kurt met in Hamburg bought 100 jackets right away. Since then, Germany has been the largest market for Viking Rubber Co. – and the very first retailer, Sattelmacher, is still one of our partners today.
By 1999 times had changed, and it was necessary to move the production out of Europe. Kurt wanted Viking Rubber Co. to be able to produce cheaper than it was possible in Europe, but without producing in poor conditions. Therefore Kurt decided in 1999, as the first Danish textile company and as one of the first European companies, to move the production to Vietnam. This was a success, and in 2004 Viking Rubber Co. started own production in Ho Chi Minh City under the name Viking Vietnam Ltd and had to move to larger premises twice, now with a facility of 6,000 square meters.
Like the two brothers, Aage Holger and Hans Frederik, Kurt knew from the start, that quality can pay off. Quality has therefore always been a focus area for Viking Rubber Co.’s production. Viking Vietnam Ltd. became ISO 9001 certified in 2010, proving to the outside world that the quality was strong and uniform, became SA 8000 certified, in 2013 ,which showed the outside world, that production in Vietnam does not have to be done under bad conditions.
An environmental policy, that focused on limiting the factory’s negative impact on the local community, was also drawn up and resulted in a ISO 14001 certification of Viking Vietnam Ltd. in 2016.
Viking Rubber Co. now has the 3rd generation sitting at the helm. Alexander Mygind Andersen took responsibility of the company in 2019 and since early 2021 Alexander has owned the majority of the shares. 2nd generation, Kurt M. Andersen, holds the position of Chairman of the Board.
